Afterschool E4 ~ E6 (小4～小6)

小学校4年生から6年生の生徒達は、各自のペースで英語力を向上させています。ほとんどの生徒は土曜日13:00～15:00にメイプルに来ています。会話をしたり、読書をしたり、ワークブックをしたり、“True Stories” シリーズのお話について議論したりする時間があります。もちろんボードゲームやカードゲーム、校庭に出て遊んだりする時間もあります。秋には劇を練習したり、クリスマスやバレンタインデーなどの特別なイベントでは、お料理や工作を楽しみます。メイプルには“Frog and Toad”などの本を読むことができる生徒や、“Nate the Great” や “Magic Tree House”などの本を読むことができる生徒がいます。生徒達は楽しんで本を読み、内容について話し合います。

Our grade 4 to 6 students improve their English at their own pace.  Most students come on Saturdays from 1 to 3pm.   There is time for talking, reading, doing our workbooks and discussing a story from the “True Stories” series and of course playing board games, card games and outdoor games on the yard.    We practice plays in the fall and enjoy cooking and crafts for special events like Christmas and Valentine’s.

Our students range in ability from reading books like “Frog and Toad” to “Nate the Great” and “Magic Tree House”.   We read for pleasure and talk about what we read.
